Here in NE Ohio, a good word to use to describe the weather is ‘unpredictable’. On Wednesday, when I took a glance at the forecast for the weekend, I noticed Thursday was the last day with a sunny icon and 75º temperature reading, and it instantly made my hormonal eyes well with tears, knowing full-well it was probably my last chance at comfortably taking any outdoor photos of me and the bump during this pregnancy.
I opted not to have maternity photographs taken when I was pregnant with Jude, mostly because I avoid cliches like the plague, but after realizing how special of a time it is in a woman’s life to be a vessel, beautifully providing life & sustenance for another tiny little human inside (and after realizing just how quickly it truly goes), if given the opportunity to again, I would want to capture it. (Sorry, Jude. Mama still loves you.)
So, I decided I needed to get it together and make the photos happen a day later, during the last nice day of fall weather.
Luckily we live on a beautiful lot for outdoor photos, and I happened to have a couple outfits in mind. I whipped up the floral crown using some fresh florals and some from our yard during Jude’s nap, and we headed out for some photos just before dusk.
We are so excited to meet you, Baby #2
